洗衣服 ≠ Wash clothes
洗是Wash，洗衣服是Wash clothes吗？
No！
用“wash”来表达“洗”，偏向于中式思维。
在英语中，虽然“wash” 的意思是“洗涤，冲洗”，但没有那么具体化，不能确定“在哪洗”或“洗什么”。
洗衣服 = do the laundry
“laundry” 指“洗衣店，洗衣房，要洗的衣物”。
比如《老友记》、《生活大爆炸》等一些美剧中，可以看到剧中人物带着大量的衣物到洗衣店里清洗，这种公用洗衣房就是“laundry”。
“do the laundry” 才是英语中“洗衣服”的地道表达方式。
当然有时在英式英语中，也用“do the washing”表达“洗衣服”。

歪果仁说洗澡也不说wash body，他们一般用下面这两个：
take / have a shower
或
take / have a bath

吃药 ≠ Eat medicine
在中文里一提到吃，就想到Eat，但在英文中关于吃，普遍使用的动词是Have，吃午饭Have lunch，喝咖啡Have a coffee，要注意的是，吃药的动词一定要用Take。
正确用法是：
吃药 = Take medicine
例句：
Her doctor says she has to rest and take medicine twice a day.
医生说她必须休息，并且每天要吃两次药。
开/关灯 ≠ Open / Close light
对于电子设备的开关，不能直接对应中文中的Open或者Close，比如开关手机，电脑，电视，动词可以用Turn或者Switch。
正确用法：
Turn on / off
或者
Switch on / off
例句：
Don't be scared. I'll turn on the light.
