The Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) is pleased to announce that it will publish a special issue on Plant Proteomics. In the past twenty years, the sensitivity and scanning speed of mass spectrometers have continuously improved. The mass spectrometry-based proteomics has been developing rapidly. The techniques for plant protein isolation, separation and identification have become routine. Diverse platforms and tools, such as 2-DE, gel-free, label free, isotope labeling in vivo and in vitro , protein complex and posttranslational modification (PTM) analyses, data-independent acquisition (DIA), as well as targeted multiple reaction monitoring and parallel reaction monitoring have been applied in plant proteomics.
We welcome authors to submit original research articles and thematic reviews on novel plant proteomics approaches and technologies, and their real-life applications to investigate the molecular mechanisms/networks in different areas of plant research, including growth, development and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. All papers will be initially screened by the issue editors, and then sent out for peer-review in accordance with standard journal procedures.
